Wingfield Heritage House Museum

The Friends of the Wingfield Heritage House Museum serves as the nonprofit support group for this Ruidoso museum. The museum tells the story of Ruidoso, NM and the Sierra Blanca area, from prehistory to today. The Wingfield family built the 1920s historic home that houses the museum and lived in it for three generations as the area was transformed from their family homestead to the thriving town it is today.

Mission

The Friends of the Wingfield Heritage House Museum champions the preservation and celebration of our region’s history by supporting the museum’s programs, raising vital financial resources, increasing public awareness, and advancing the museum’s vision and long-term goals.

As a charitable and educational organization, we serve as committed stewards of our shared heritage and dedicated partners in strengthening the museum’s growth and sustainability.
